Supply List for Karen's (US) Classes
These are my favorite colors, brands and supplies that I currently use.
You may bring whatever supplies you are comfortable using.
***Please bring 2-3 small panels per class day***  (6x8 or 8x10)

The most important thing is that you can easily carry all of your gear in one bag and that you
have experimented with your colors, brushes and easel prior to the workshop.

Oil Colors

Brand: Windsor Newton Artists Oil Colors
(unless noted)

7 Colors + white
Small 1.25 oz. tubes
\

Titanium White
Cad Yellow Light (Gamblin)
Permanent Rose or Alizarin Crimson
French Ultramarine Blue
Sap Green
Yellow Ochre Light
Burnt Sienna
Manganese Blue Hue
Cad Orange (optional)
Blue Black (optional)

Avoid the Winton Brand Paints

Medium  - not necessary

Odorless Mineral Spirits

Order online at JerrysArt ARama.com or get some of these at Artist and Craftsman Supply, Charleston

Easel
I use the OPEN BOX M (8x10) Pallet Panel Holder/Oil.   It is a very light-weight easel.  Any kind of travel easel is ok, as long as you can carry it easily and you have set it up before you get to the workshop.

Avoid the Julian French Easel on travel trips (too heavy)

Packing your Easel: I carry my easel in a rolling bag that is also a backpack (Wallmart).  I use a small lightweight tripod from the camera store. Everything I need including my paints, panels, and panel storage box fit into the one rolling backpack
