The Charleston Garden at 27 1/2 State Street     

The elegant Charleston Garden at 27 1/2 State Street is a charming and intimate space, 
adjacent to the indoor fine art gallery and interior designer space. The space is filled with
beautiful oil paintings and is exquisitely decorated with fine furnishings by well known interior 
designer, Sandra Ericksen. It's perfectly lovely for a small wedding or cocktail affair any time of the year. 
It's also a great place for a small corporate cocktail party or meeting. 

The building was constructed in 1840 and was restored in 2005. It's an authentic slice of Charleston history,
rich with exposed beams, original brick walls, flagstone garden with fountain and wrought iron gate. This part of downtown, The French Quarter, is one of the oldest sections of downtown Charleston, rich with history and 
romance.

Capacity for standing in the partially covered the garden is approximately 25.
Capacity for standing guests in the gallery is approximately 40.
(The indoor option in case of inclement weather)
There is room for a small two piece musical group in the indoor space, near the studio.

We offer rental for 2 hours at the rate of:

$300 Weekdays

$375 Weekends

$400 Evenings (concluding before 8:30pm)
(additional hours, add $150 per hour)

Specifics:
The garden is approximately 237 square feet, partially covered, partially open to sky.
(9.5 feed wide by 25 feet long)
The gallery is approximately 700 square feet
(t-shaped with one long, wide area and one smaller alcove)

The space will accommodate a small wedding with cake and champagne toast. 
We have two tables, one square inside and one round out side for serving. 
We will be happy to add the cake, plates, and the champagne and glasses, linens...
(Please ask for specific menu options and an estimate).

Deposit of $400 payable at booking of reservation and refundable one week after event.
Fee is payable 14 days in advance of event. 
We accept visa, master card, amex, discover and check.

Location
The space at 27 1/2 State Street is one block from East Bay Street, near the corner of 
State and Queen Streets. where there are many fine restaurant options for 
your catered wedding brunch or dinner celebration. We will be happy to provide referrals to you for
these services. 

Parking is in the garage at Cumberland Street and Church Street approximately 2 blocks away.
The parking fee is payable by cash upon exit of garage.
