Ulrich Gleiter at Teluride 2011 web.jpg (64731 bytes) ULRICH GLEITER   After completing his studies at the St. Petersburg Academy in 2010, is influenced in his art by the tradition of Russian Impressionism. But also, from his German background, there is a very distinctive, expressionistic note in his paintings.

"I am convinced, he will turn in a very interesting artist and painter, and will create numerous pieces of art that will take their place in collections and museums."  - V.S.Pesikov, Vice-Rector of the Repin Academy, Saint Petersburg, Russia.

"When those oils out of your tube turn into color and light on the canvas, then

awards across America and Europe. His work is in high demand and
frankly is under-valued. I have his work in my personal collection."

DEE BEARD DEAN    Dee Beard Dean has been painting all her life.  She was raised in the Amish countryside of rural Indiana and studied at Grand Rapids College, Kendall College of Art, and the New York Academy of Art.

Her greatest inspirations have come from painting en plein air where her eye for color and composition, and her elevated senses guide her hand in creating paintings filled with evocative light and dramatic shadows.

Dee founded the Plein Air Painters of the Southeast (PAP-SE), a professional organization of acclaimed plein air artists living and working in the southeastern US.  Her workshops are in great demand, offering instruction in this country and in beautiful locales around the world.

A second generation master artist well known across
the continent for her evocative landscapes.

Preferring to paint from life, or in "plein-air", the open air, I find that art, my driving passion is larger than life.  Being greatly inspired by the American Impressionists, I also choose a variety of subject matter, landscapes, seascapes, interiors, figures, and portraiture.

The play of light and shadows generally draws me to a specific scene, often an every day spot that has gone unnoticed. By exaggerating colors, using a rhythmic composition, broken brushwork or texture, I transform the ordinary into an interesting and exciting work of art. My paintings capture the essence of the land, the mystery, a mood, an emotion, or perhaps only a dream.    Gloria is greatly inspired by the gentle quiet of the countryside and gardens throughout the world and is often found painting landscapes in "plein-air", the open air. In addition to her passion for landscapes, Gloria has been painting and drawing nudes for over forty years. Each of Gloria's paintings is refreshing with a style and medium unique to its subject matter.

"...I empty myself, become one with my surroundings and
allow the painting to emerge."
  - Gloria Mani.
